Actor Baek Sun Ho made an unforgettable appearance at the 5th Blue Dragon Series Awards, arriving on the red carpet in his military uniform.
The annual ceremony will be held on July 31 at Chroma in Paradise City, Incheon, celebrating the year’s best original K-Dramas and variety shows released on streaming platforms.
Rather than wearing a tuxedo like most attendees, Baek Sun Ho appeared in his official Army uniform while currently serving his mandatory military service.

Despite being enlisted, the actor attended the ceremony because he was nominated for “Best New Actor” for his performance as Kim Geon Woo in the Netflix K-Drama If Wishes Could Kill. He was nominated alongside Kim Jae Won, Kim Jin Wook, Song Geon Hee, and Lee Hong Nae.
Baek Sun Ho enlisted as an active-duty soldier in late November 2025 after personally announcing the news to fans. Since South Korea’s current active-duty military service lasts around 18 months, he is expected to be discharged around May 2027.
His soldier appearance immediately became one of the night’s most talked-about moments, with photos of him saluting on the red carpet quickly spreading across social media.
