An idol-turned-actress discussed rumors of discord with her former group during an interview.
On the afternoon of July 29th, an interview was held at a cafe in Seoul with Son Naeun.
Son Naeun debuted in 2011 as a member of Apink and is now in her 15th year since debut. When asked about her feelings on maintaining a long career, she began by expressing gratitude toward her fans.
She said, “I think I have spent almost half of my life working. Looking back, all of it is beautiful memories and precious moments. Because of who I was then, I am who I am now. I’m always grateful, and just knowing that there are fans still supporting me gives me great strength. I feel like I need to show better sides of myself as an actress.”
In 2022, Son Naeun left Apink, but the group has continued activities since then.
Whenever Apink’s activities continued, Son Na Eun naturally became the center of attention. At member Yoon Bomi’s wedding in May, former member Hong Yookyung, who left the group in 2013, attended, but Son Naeun did not, sparking rumors of discord.
Regarding this, Son Naeun calmly said, “Since it’s a team I’ve been with a long time, I’m always watching with interest. I hope many good things happen, and those feelings haven’t changed. I’m always rooting for them.”
When asked what kind of actress she wants to become in the future, she replied, “I want to be an actress who has a positive influence.”
Son Naeun smiled and said, “I hope many people can relate to my acting. I want to continue greeting audiences with good works. I want to be an actress who can deliver performances that leave a gentle, lingering impression in terms of character.”
